For municipal water supply lines a
pressure regulator is required. The static system pressure could be set between
6 psi to 20 psi. 14 psi pressure is preferred. Excessive pressure can cause
plugs to snap shut prematurely. Insufficient pressure will cause the cells to fill more slowly and will
delay closing.
Battery Filling Systems offers a variety of pressure regulators to bring the
house pressure down to the required levels.
The PRG915 is a 10 lb pressure regulator. It works between 10 and up to a max
of 80 psi (it brings pressure down to 10 psi).
The PRG925 is a 25 lb pressure regulator. It works between 25 and up to a max
of 80 psi (it brings pressure down to 25 psi).
The brass regulator PBR101 hooks up to the wall and the hose is hooked up to
it. It should be used in applications where house pressure is over 80 psi. It
can handle up to 400 psi and brings the pressure down to 50 psi. You would then
connect it to the Battery Filling System water gun or direct fill link to bring
the pressure down to the required 10 or 25 psi.
When using a 5 Gallon Gravity Delivery Tank (NT2000G or NT2000GN), the height
of water reservoir should be three (3) feet above the batteries cells. This will ensure proper water delivery to
the batteries.
