Central Degassing Valve

The Central Degassing Valves change the way the hydrogen gas vents into the atmosphere during the charge cycle. It expels the gas through the filter (flame arrestor) and then sends the filtered air through the return tubing and away from the battery depending on the battery type.

There is a bayonet degassing valve (part #B51220), a push-in degassing valve (part # 151210) and an encapsulated degassing valve (part # B51000GCG).

The filter EX (part# 09FEX1) works in conjunction with the central degassing valve to filter the hydrogen gas. It is used to avoid arcing on the batteries or inside the cells. It is proven and fail-safe.
