The bayonet plug (part #B50000G) is designed to precisely water lead acid batteries every time a water connection is made.
A variety of snap-on floats are available to get the correct electrolyte level by float selection.
The electrolyte level in each cell is indicated by a visual white indicator eye on the top of each plug.
The water enters the cell through the bayonet plug and raises the electrolyte to a preset level controlled by the float.
The float raises and closes the valve in the plug by a 2.5:1 lever action.
When the electrolyte level drops, the float-operated valve will open automatically and the white indicator eye drops.
The bayonet plug removes hydrogen gasses through the development of the double chamber and shuts off incoming water flow by the action
of the patented lever arm.
